Subjectivity, the menace of humanity

Subjectivity, the menace of humanity

I remember one of the first things I had to train my secretary in the office was how to think objectively. It took a while before she could break from that spell but eventually, things began to change.

Many of us find ourselves in such a universe of subjectivity and that’s why many things don’t go the way you really want to.

I’ll give you a peek into how to change that nebulous mentality known as subjectivity.

1. Break it.
You can never go far if you’re bound to the pattern of subjectivity. You must therefore be willing to set yourself free from its grasp.

2. You’re not that important
Subjectivity makes you think you’re more important that you really are. It usually paints you as a champion, a sage, a master, a leader, the very best
It is an illusive ground because many times these feats are not PROVEN. You just decide – by yourself – that you are that good without Haven been tested in any way. (Cut yourself some slack)

3. Think of others too
You new to start thinking of others too. You must think from the view of others too. Its not just about you.

How would others take your ideologies?
How do others feel with the things you do?
How do others see you?

You need OPV (other people’s view) in whatever you do. Especially if its a product that people will need to purchase or require its services.

If you see yourself a god while others see just a man, then you’re on a long long thing.
