Pain and discomfort is necessary for progress.
Ever been to a gym? During your aerobic sequence you’ll notice that the first few steps will seem easy. But there comes a time sweat begin to break and your muscles begin to give you stress alerts. But I believe you know that progress begins when you start feeling the pain and discomfort. It is how long you’re willing to endure the discomfort and pain that determine how far you’ll improve.
You also need to give your mind similar growth processes. Your mind needs to improve and expand in capacity. You must learn to see things from a higher perspective and reality.
This is what I’ll be telling you in the next few posts. You need to discomfort your mind once in a while. Allow it to stretch its limits. The same way (for health reasons) you need to take bitter things once in a while. If all you take are sweet stuffs, you’re not giving your body the best.
Create a change of awareness:
Do something you’ve not done in a while.
1. Help out a random stranger,
2. check your phone book and call someone you’ve not called for six months…just say hi.
3. Start watching a new channel.
4. Read a very intellectual or spiritual book.
5. Change your toothpaste. Etc.
These things will latently start a process of reprogramming your mind.
At the end of today. Tell me what change you notice.
