Managing your Reality:
I remember a training session I had with some mentees last year where I shared a module called “Dynamics of Reality” with them.
Many people have no idea about the state of their reality. There are three major forms of reality we can find ourselves, they are; Ideal Reality, Perceived Reality and False Reality.
Almost everyone reading this post is experiencing one form of Perceived reality or the other.
“How do I mean?” You may ask.
The mind is structured in such a way that if you fail to intentionally manage your reality, it will choose a random one for you. Let me hint you on a few things…
What you see is a function of the reality you experience. We don’t all see the same way. The relief, accommodation, focus and hue of our vision is never the same but you wouldn’t know this because you’re experiencing your reality at a personal level.
Your mind has made you the sole unit of your perception. Everything is measured from you. Eg everyone is either taller or shorter than you are. You are therefore the standard unit of measurement for your life.
One way to experience Ideal reality is when we see what life really is. One common example is the death of a close relative or family. This allows you to pierce into the Truth or the Ideal reality. But after a while, the mind takes over again and we go back to out perceived realities.
