What are you paying for?
#iMentor with Harkheindzel Kenny Omiyale
One of the very first tests man failed was the test that came as a result of a negotiation. During negotiation, there’s always an option whether to yield or not to yield. The buyer has the greatest power during a negotiation even though most times he is ignorant of this power.
On a daily basis you get to negotiation with every choice you make. Whatever your choice is, you need to pay for it.
Example of what you can pay for on a daily basis include:
Pay for time lost
Pay to gain time
Pay for ignorance.
Pay to acquire knowledge.
Pay for power
Pay for life
Pay for love
Pay for experience
Pay for emotional gratification
Pay for the cause of purpose.
What’s the currency of this exchange?
Its either one of these two:
Currency of time (life)
Currency of power of knowledge/intelligence.
Are you investing your life with every negotiation or you’re killing yourself. The answer will determine how long you live.
Whether you know it or not, a negotiation is always taking place. The effect of such negotiation may be evident now or much later in life.
If you take too much sugar, you’re negotiating with your health.
If you’re not improving your mind, you’re negotiating your future.
If you disdain knowledge, you will pay for that ignorance later in life.
Learn to see beyond the moment.
They will help you with the negotiations of life.
May you always walk in the faith of the Lord.
